Exhibition of the Association of Patrina Artists, Visual Arts ”Ep. Thomopoulos” in Agora Argyri – 2024-04-02 10:00:35

On the occasion of World Poetry Day (March 21st) the artists members of SPKET “Ep. Thomopoulos” present visual works and poems, in an exhibition organized by the association in the Argyri Market between 21/3 – 3/4.

The opening of the exhibition took place on March 21 with the participation of 45 artists and the presentation of many art lovers.

At the beginning of the event the president of the association Dr. Nikos Kathreptas, emeritus professor of the University of Athens, welcomed the attendees and emphasized the internal relationship between poetry and painting, stating that “painting is poetry with colors and poetry is painting with words”.

Then the painter Dr. Evangelia Tsimpri, Neurologist p.d/tria ESY of the University Neurological Clinic of P. Patras, presented an excellent audio-visual work on the topic “The most important painters of the Thirties generation in modern Greek painting”.

In this exhibition, the participation of Mrs. Marie Ange Prince with four remarkable paintings is of particular interest.

Mrs. Marie Ange Prince comes from Haiti and is exhibiting her works for the first time in Greece.
Due to the PIP, poems were recited by Mrs. N. Fourfouris and Mrs. Fiorela Mastorakou, director and actress.

During the opening, wonderful songs were heard performed by Mrs. Andi Christodoulopoulou, musician, with her guitar.

The event, which is under the auspices of a cultural institution of the Municipality of Patreon, presents works of painting, ceramics, micro-sculpture, photography.

The exhibition was visited by Mr. Anastasios Aggelis, Vice President of Culture of the Municipality of Patreon, as well as Dr. Ioannis Matsoukas, professor at the University of Patras.
