Exercise to avoid cancer: The exercise that would avoid suffering from the most aggressive cancer: Reduces probability 70%

A study conducted by researchers at Tel Aviv University in Israel found that high intensity aerobic exercisemight reduce the risk of suffering a metastatic cancer up to 72%.

Some of the cancer diagnoses are attributed to environmental factors and the LifestyleTherefore, it is important to prevent the development of the disease. Israeli scientists, whose study was published in the scientific journal ‘Cancer Research’, say that intense aerobic exercise increases glucose consumption by internal organsreducing the availability of energy for the tumor to metastasize.

Increased glucose consumption

The researchers stressed that physical exercise has undoubted benefits on the body. In previous studies it has been shown that practicing them reduces the risk of suffering some types of cancer by up to 35%. A positive effect that would also have an impact on diseases heart and diabetes.

In this study, laboratory models (mice) trained under a strict exercise regimen were combined with data from healthy human volunteers examined before and following running.

In the epidemiological study, a follow-up of 3,000 people for 20 years and less metastatic cancer was found in participants who reported doing aerobic physical activity, compared with people who did not exercise.

A similar result was found in the mouse model, allowing the scientists to identify its underlying mechanism.

After inoculating the cancer to the animals, they found that aerobic activity significantly reduced the development of metastatic tumors in the lymph nodes, lungs, and liver.

Thus, the researchers ensured that both in animals and in humans, this result is favorable and is related to the higher rate of glucose consumption. “By examining the cells of these organs, we found an increase in the number of glucose receptors during high-intensity aerobic activity, which increases glucose consumption and makes the organs efficient. energy consuming machinesvery similar to muscles”, they indicated.

The study authors said this occurs because the organs must compete for sugar resources with musclesknown to burn large amounts of glucose during physical exercise.

Consequently, “if the cancer develops, the fierce competition for glucose reduces the availability of energy that is critical for metastasis.” Furthermore, if exercise is done regularly, this condition might become permanent.

What kind of exercise helps

This type of training can be do even from home and spending half an hour of time a day.

According to the study, the optimal intensity range for burning fat is 65-70% of maximum pulse rate and burning sugar requires 80-85% even if done in light intervals.

The most important thing is to adapt the intensity and duration of the exercise to the current level of fitness. The high intensity interval training has the advantage that allows you to train a lot in a short timeboth at a cardiovascular level and strength and muscle endurancebut since the movements are usually carried out at high speed, you must have a good level of physical fitness to avoid injury.
