As per tradition, the blogger John Gruberdo Daring Fireballinvited some executives from Apple for a conversation regarding the main innovations presented by the company at the WWDC23an event that took place last week.
This year’s guests from The Talk Show Live From WWDC 2023 were the company’s senior vice president of software engineering, Craig Federighihardware engineering, John Ternuso de marketing, Greg Joswiakand augmented/virtual reality, Mike Rockwell.
Unsurprisingly, the latter featured prominently in the conversation, as Apple’s biggest announcement this year (the mixed reality headset Apple Vision Pro) is a direct result of his authority within the company.
Among the curiosities regarding the device presented by him in the conversation, is that all renders that we saw in the various videos promoting the device are real images, generated in the Vision Pro itself. Even those third-person images were extracted from the device and then added to different contexts with videos recorded by actors.
Of course, in the two hours of conversation there was a lot of space for Ternus to talk regarding the new Macs launched and for Federighi to comment on the new features that will arrive on Apple systems.
At the end of the conversation, the VP of software still proved that, in addition to renders, another very real thing regarding the opening keynote was his surprising guitar solo. ????
