Asunción, IP Agency.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications reports that the work is taking shape that will improve the transitability of more than 15,000 compatriots, who will soon have an all-weather route that will allow them to be connected to the national road network.
It is through the prosecution of the works to asphalt the road that connects the locality of Villa Ygatimí with the colony of Ko’ê Porã to the Itanará stream, which at the end of April has an overall execution of 18.7% in the department of Canindeyú.
The work is executed by Wheel. Co SA with a contract of G. 47,291,659,831, under the supervision of the firm Inconpar SA, and an investment of USD 62 million from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
New local production corridor
The road, which has a length of 21 kilometers, forms a very important corridor for agricultural and livestock production in this region of the country, connecting Villa Ygatimí with General Resquín – passing through Itanará, San Vicente – merging with route PY08, from there you can already go to the ports of Antequera or Villa del Rosario.
Among the main items achieved, the beginning of the laying of the soil cement subbase stands out with the first 1,000 meters completed, to which are added 500 more meters that were executed with the granular base.
The structural package of the road will be composed of a subbase layer of cement soil, stabilized granular base, asphalt primer, adhesive irrigation, simple surface treatment on the shoulder to finally crown the new route, with the expected layer of asphalt concrete, the MOPC reported. .
