Execution by hanging of Habiba’s father accused of killing Al-Rehab student

Circuit 11 South of the Cairo Criminal Court, held in the Fifth Settlement, today, Thursday, sentenced the main accused of killing “Talib Al-Rehab,” the father of his fiancée Habiba, to death by hanging.

The ruling was headed by Counselor Atef Rizk Kamel, and the membership of the advisors was Muhammad Faraj Al-Saadani, Mutasim Ahmed Bardis and Hossam El-Din Fathy, and the secretariat of Saeed Abdel-Sattar and Magdy Shukry.

The Public Prosecutor had referred the accused, “Ashraf H.,” 55, owner of a contracting office, his daughter “Habiba,” 20, a student, “Mohamed I.,” 20, “driver” and “Bassem. M.,” chairman of the board of directors of an import and export company, and Mr. R., known as “Sika,” 40, a driver, Magdy A., 40, “Safarji,” Walid H., 32, a driver, and his brother “Ahmed,” 21, a worker, were referred to the Criminal Court.

The referral order stated that the defendants participated on August 19, 2018, in Al-Shorouk Department, deliberately killing Bassam Osama Muhammad, with premeditation and premeditation. The victim, with it, prepared a wooden box, ropes and adhesive tape, while the rest of the accused helped them and participated with them in the crime.

Investigations revealed that a dispute arose between the first accused and the victim, following it was discovered that the accused was involved in forging his identity card to escape from the execution of a prison sentence. The second was his fiancée, and they all participated in killing him and hid his body by burying it in a hole, which the first accused had prepared in the apartment, and then stole his belongings.

During his interrogation, the first accused confessed in detail to committing the incident jointly with the rest of the accused, and represented the crime before the Public Prosecution.
