However, Zhang Xuanhao was involved in a lawsuit many years ago due to a traffic accident. In early January 2017, while driving along a section of Zhongshan Road in Yilan City, he was hit by an unlicensed teenager named Lin who rode a motorcycle and ran a red light. A young man named Qiu was injured and sent to the hospital. Judge Zhang Xuanhao was not responsible for the accident at all, but he left without calling the police to send the two people to the hospital.
