An American, who thought she had flown to Florida, was rather left unsatisfied after learning that she was on a flight to … Jamaica, a country located 1500 km south of Florida.

New Jersey native Beverly Ellis-Hebard travels regularly to Jacksonville, Florida’s most populous city.
“I travel to Florida every six weeks,” she said in an interview with WABC-TV.
To pay less, the lady travels with the low-cost airline Frontier.

On her last trip, Beverly flew into Philadelphia International Airport without her passport because it was a domestic flight.
Before settling on the plane at the indicated gate, the lady decided to go to one of the bathrooms in the terminal.
The problem: Upon his return, the airline had made a last-minute change to the location to board the flight from Philadelphia to Jacksonville.
Unaware of the change, Beverly showed up at the door initially indicated. The employee at the kiosk did not check his ticket as the flight to Jamaica was about to take off.
“He was in a hurry, so I boarded without worry.”
It was after takeoff that the traveler realized she was heading for the Caribbean rather than Florida, Quebec’s favorite state.
After takeoff, an employee came to her for assistance and told her that she was “going to have plenty of time to rest in Jamaica.”
Stunned, the American asked for details, but the flight attendant confirmed that the flight was not bound for Jacksonville.
“Look at me. This plane is going to Jamaica,” said the flight attendant.
In an interview with WABC-TV, Beverly explains that she was facing two problems.
“I was going to another country without a passport, in addition to not going to Florida.”
“We would like to apologize to Beverly Ellis-Hebard for this unfortunate experience. We are sorry that the lady did not take the right flight”, can we read in an extract sent to the American chain.
The distraught client received $600 for a future flight with the company Frontier.
