The competition is divided into three categories. This includes, among other things, the official competition (category in competition) which concerns all series with a minimum duration of 26 minutes and a maximum of 52 minutes. The series in competition must not have been broadcast on the continent, whatever the means used. This condition guarantees the exclusivity of the works presented during the festival. Seasons 2 and above cannot compete.
Regarding the Douala web category, this is open to all web series with a maximum duration of 7 minutes. The series must be specifically intended for broadcast on the internet in the first place.
As for the in-competition/out-of-competition category, it offers the opportunity to discover new talents and new trends. This is usually a section dedicated to discovery and open to all formats. Just like the official competition, seasons 2 and above are not eligible.
The application file must include the name and surname of the candidate, the telephone and email address, the choice of category, the title of the series and its brief summary, the photo of the director and his biography, the roles of the main characters of the series, the duration and the total number of episodes of the series.
Note that for all these categories, the series must be translated or subtitled in English or French and must be registered online via the event website.
