On the eve of the launch of Vision Proa Apple announced recently the list of streaming services that will initially be compatible with your mixed reality (AR/VR) headset, as well as new Apple TV+ content that will arrive with it.
Among the main services available on the market, Vision Pro will be compatible with: Disney+, ESPNMLB, PGA Tour, Max (as we already predicted), Discovery+, Amazon Prime Video, Paramount+Peacock, Pluto TV, Tubi, Fubo, CrunchyrollRed Bull TV, IMAX, TikTok e THE BAD. Netflix’s absence from the list, however, is notable.
The device will also bring the new format Apple Immersive Video, which offers 3D recordings with 8K resolution in 180º and with Spatial Audio. According to Apple, it provides an immersive experience, taking viewers into the center of the action or story.
When the headset hits the market, Apple TV+ promises exclusive content and no additional costs compatible with the resource. Among the titles already announced are: “Alicia Keys: Rehearsal Room” (with an intimate presentation of the singer’s creative process), “Wild Life” (providing an up-close experience with “the most charismatic creatures on the planet”) and “Prehistoric Planet Immersive” (inspired by Jon Favreau’s award-winning docuseries).
Also according to Maçã, the Vision Pro will also support more than 150 3D films from major studios, now through the Apple TV application. Among the features are hits such as “Avatar: The Path of Water” e “Something”.
In partnership with the Disney, Apple wants to take fan-favorite franchises to a new level. Those who subscribe to Disney+ will enjoy content in some special scenarios, such as Marvel’s Avengers Tower and the cockpit of the land speeder do Luke Skywalker.
The Cupertino giant’s headset will also offer an unprecedented experience with the Encounter Dinosaurs. The app, developed by Apple and native to the headset, will allow users to interact with dinosaurs in full 3D.
For Apple, Vision Pro represents a breakthrough in personal entertainment, blending advanced technology and creative content. The company believes it will change how people view content, bringing a unique and immersive experience.
Announced during WWDC23, pre-sales of Apple’s headset will begin this FridayJanuary 19th, officially hitting the market only on the day February 2 nd — for now, only in the United States.
