Graduates of the Bachelor’s degree in Education and the Professional Bachelor’s degree in university education courses appealed to the Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, to intervene as soon as possible to cancel the age requirement, which the Ministry of National Education sets at 30 years, for passing the entrance exams to the regional centers for education and training professions.

In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister by holders of education degrees, they demanded that they be “treated fairly” in the upcoming education competitions, by “issuing a decision that guarantees them the right to pass education competitions regardless of age.”

Among the measures proposed by the graduates in this regard is “exempting graduates of higher education institutions from the age requirement, similar to the issue of initial selection, from which this category is exempted in every competition announcement.”

They added in their correspondence that previous graduates of the same specializations and tracks benefited from this privilege, in order to complete their years of training, stressing that this category, which was formed to enter the regional centers for education and training professions, is exempt from all forms of initial selection because it has previously passed through selection, a written exam, an oral exam, and solid training in the subjects of specialization and educational sciences.

The same graduates stopped at “the important role played by the Higher Schools for Teachers and the Faculty of Educational Sciences in selecting, supervising and training students,” stressing that the training they underwent came to work on “deepening cognitive specialization in a way that serves the subject taught and mastering the basic principles in educational sciences and teaching science and understanding the teaching system in the context of the modern perspective of learning and mastering educational research methods and their applications.”

Accordingly, these “excluded graduates” asked Akhannouch to take their request into consideration and exempt them from the age requirement for passing the education competitions, while giving them priority in the specialized frameworks and the administrative, social and educational support frameworks, due to the institutions experiencing a major shortage in the administrative aspect.
