The public service channels have a lot of surprises in store for their viewers in the coming months…

This Wednesday, August 30, RTBF organized its big back-to-school press conference, centered on its TV channels. The opportunity for us to select some highlights.
From one channel to another
Three personalities from the RTL group are joining the public service this year. Two of them know the house well, having already worked there. To start with Tatiana Silva, which will present on the front page “LesTuesdes de la Planète”, a program made up of a dozen documentaries dealing with the safeguarding of the Earth and broadcast at the time of COP 28 (which will take place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12 ). 2023 will also mark the great return of Thomas Vanhamme on the front page, at the controls of “Changeons le monde”, a program that might be described as a “Belgian road trip”. Finally, the cook Julien Lapraille leaves RTL to officiate as a culinary columnist in the program “Les Ambassadeurs”.

New challenges
One of the great returns of this year is that of“One guy one boss” with Gérald Watelet and Adrien Devyver, who will return to the helm of their cooking show every Sunday at 6:30 p.m., on the front page. For the occasion, they will be accompanied by a host who is well known to young viewers of Auvio Kids TV (ex-OUFtivi), Gwennaëlle Dekegeleer. Another animator to launch a new challenge: it is Cathy Immelenwho will take over the controls of the talk show from Tipik « Culture Club » every Saturday in the second half of the evening. Finally, one of the great surprises of this season is undoubtedly the arrival of Rodrigo Beenkens as a columnist in “We are not pigeons”. See you from September 5 to discover the sports commentator in this new role.

Second seasons
« The Voice Kids » will return to the front page on September 19 at 8:20 p.m. for a second season co-hosted by Maureen Louys and newcomer Luana Fontana (face of Auvio Kids TV, ex-OUFtivi), with Alice on the roof, Black M, Typh Barrow and Matthew Let’s put ourselves in the shoes of the coaches. On the Tipik side, the game “The Yurt” will be back with Adrien Devyver and new guests. Pablo Andres and Guillaume relaxes you will return to their roles as Pee gentlemen in season 2 of their comedy series. In the humor catalog, we will also be entitled to seasons 2 of the series « Barracks » and the broadcast ” Like at home “. Finally, let’s not forget the second edition of the contest “Drag Race Belgium”, currently in production.

It’s new !
The front page intends to surf on the trend of “true crime” documentaries, which relate various bloody events, with “The Mechanics of Crime”, a new docu-series that will take a fresh look at cases that have shaken Belgium. Viewers of the first channel will also be entitled to new series co-produced by RTBF, such as « Master Crimes » with Muriel Robin or “Samber” with Alix Poisson. Finally, on Tipik, “XXL Garden” will invite you to follow a team of gardeners in grandiose settings and landscapes, every Saturday at 6.30 p.m.
big events
Throughout the year, RTBF will continue to offer major sporting events – such as those of the Diables Rouges – and a series of events. The public service will notably celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Fêtes de Wallonie, with Fanny Jandrain and Héloïse Blanchaert, on the weekend of September 15. Two weeks later, go for the traditional concert of the Walonnie-Brussels Federation, with Joëlle Scoriels (who replaces Maureen Louys here) and Walid. On October 15, place at the closing bonus of « Cap48 ». Before “Viva For Life”, to follow from December 17. Finally, note in your diary the dates of May 7, 9 and 11, to follow the Swedish adventure of singer Mustii, who will defend the colors of Belgium in the next competition. Eurovision.
