An impressive road trip occurred this Sunday around 4:45 p.m. A driver driving in the Ohey-Andenne direction escaped control of his vehicle in a slight curve in the road from Ciney to Andenne, near the LG Motor garage. The Volkswagen brand car took off on a solid concrete railing serving as a springboard, before finishing its race several hundred meters below in the middle of a field.
Firefighters from the NAGE rescue zone at the Andenne station intervened on site with an ambulance, a logistics vehicle and a beaconing vehicle. The Huy SMUR was requisitioned on the spot. The driver, still conscious, was taken to hospital by medical teams. His days are not in danger.
Traffic alternated during the intervention. A team from the Arches police area also went to the scene.
