As part of the recent Final Fantasy XIV Fan Festival 2023 in London, various information regarding the game has been revealed. We’re told regarding the new jobs that will be included in the upcoming Dawntrail expansion, as well as new areas, bosses and dungeons, Alliance Raids, co-op, and when the Xbox open beta will take place. First and last, the Xbox open beta will last from mid-January to February, giving Xbox players a chance to finally experience the game. Looking back at the Path to Dawn expansion, this upcoming batch of content will include at least two new classes, the melee-focused Viper and the ranged Caster. Viper will wield twin swords that can be combined into a double-edged staff, and as for Caster, more will be shared at the Fan Festival in January. The expansion’s new areas will see the story take players to tropical Kozama’uka and the arid Shaaloani. Players will also be able to encounter a new allied tribe called the Moblins, which are similar to Goblins but are viewed as gatherers and traders. These new areas will also add new bosses and dungeons, with one new boss being called the Eliminator. For raiders, Dawntrail will bring a new Alliance Raid called Echoes of Vana’Diel, which will see 24 players locked into a campaign that works closely with Final Fantasy XI. We’re told Final Fantasy XVI will also be coming to Final Fantasy XIV as part of a new partnership that brings Clive Rosefield into the game and sees players face off once morest the title’s version of Ifrit. Fall Guys will also get a Final Fantasy XIV crossover, bringing mini-games to Mediatonic’s battle royale-themed title. Look forward to hearing more regarding FFXIV at the Fan Festival in Japan on January 7, 2024. Thanks, Windows Central.
