I’m not the only one disappointed when Tarsier Studios is acquired by Embracer Group in 2021, which confirmed that Bandai Namco owns the intellectual property rights to Little Nightmare. It sounds like we won’t be able to experience the new spooky adventure, at least from the Swedish studio. Then, earlier this year, a job listing all but confirmed that a third mainline game was in development. That hope has now turned into excitement. Because Little Nightmares was officially confirmed for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series 3, and Nintendo Switch at tonight’s Gamescom Opening Night Live show. This time, it’s made by Supermassive Games, the developer of the Until Dawn and The Dark Picture games, and this time, the British studio will finally allow us to experience this universe with friends. Beyond that, we’re not told much, but the trailer makes it clear that we can expect the same gameplay in 2024 in the Madness universe.
