Exciting Launch of a New Outpatient Mental Health Facility in Cosne-sur-Loire

The new premises of the outpatient mental health site of the Pierre-Lôo hospital center, in Cosne-sur-Loire, were inaugurated on Monday, September 16.

After several months of work, the Pierre Lôo hospital center opened its new site, in the former premises of the day hospital (rue Jean-Jaurès), bringing together the outpatient structures of Cosne-sur-Loire.

The new premises now accommodate patients from three departments: the medical-psychological center (CMP), the part-time therapeutic reception center (CATTP) and the day hospital (HDJ). “This grouping of structures will make it possible to create an integrated care pathway,” summarized Bénédicte Soilly-Loiseau, deputy director.

For more appropriate support

The old premises no longer met the accessibility criteria for people with reduced mobility. “Here, more than half of the spaces were unused”. The establishment renovated 536 m² and built 25 m², for a total cost of approximately €1,702,000.

For Florent Foucard, president of the territorial hospital group (GHT) of Nièvre, this shared project will allow “an improvement in reception, care and practice conditions”, with a pooling of medical and care teams.

This project is part of a territorial and partnership dynamic, to be more attractive in a context of tensions over medical and care resources.

And Angela Jenesco, head of the North sector department, added: “The outpatient site is the heart of our action. It is the pivot in an “outside the walls” care approach, outside of traditional structures. This will allow more appropriate care”, particularly for people who have difficulty moving around or adapting to the institutional setting.

Open house for the general public on September 28

In 2023, the three sites provided care for 943 patients (cumulative active file of the HDJ, CMP and CATTP). The care offer includes prevention, diagnosis, assessment, outpatient care, home interventions, medical consultations (advanced practice nurse, and psychological), nursing interviews for reception, support, assessment and orientation or therapeutic mediations (manual, physical, cognitive, etc.) individual or group.

In order to showcase the care pathways and offers proposed by the outpatient site, the CHPL is organizing an open day on Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The state subsidy amounts to €180,000, that of the ARS to €430,000.

CMP/CATTP :

87 ter, rue Jean-Jaurès in Cosne-sur-Loire. Contact: 03.86.28.32.71. Open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. HDJ: 03.86.26.83.38. Open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
