After the record-breaking Olympic Games in Paris, where rugby sevens captivated audiences worldwide, the sport’s elite athletes are gearing up for a thrilling return to the HSBC SVNS in 2025, promising even more electrifying matches and unforgettable moments.

The season features seven iconic global destinations, culminating in an action-packed finale in Los Angeles. The HSBC SVNS World Championship will take place on May 3-4, 2025, at the renowned Dignity Health Sports Park, setting the stage for an unforgettable showdown. Not only is this venue a key part of the upcoming LA 2028 Olympics but fans will also witness the USA Men’s and Women’s Rugby Sevens teams compete on home turf, marking their first appearance since their historic campaign in the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Ticket presales to begin Wednesday, Nov 13 with general public on-sale opening Friday, Nov 15.

Los Angeles will also host the high-stakes promotion and relegation playoff competition. This thrilling event will feature the top four men’s and women’s teams from the HSBC Sevens Challenger Series, facing off against the bottom four ranked teams in the SVNS standings at the end of the sixth round in Singapore, vying for coveted spots in future SVNS events.

HSBC SVNS is committed to another momentous year for women’s rugby, championing gender parity by ensuring equal participation fees for both men’s and women’s teams. All seven rounds will showcase combined men’s and women’s events, allowing players the unique opportunity to display their talents on a global stage.

The women’s SVNS 2025 participating teams are: New Zealand, Australia, France, USA, Canada, Fiji, Ireland, Great Britain, Japan, Brazil, Spain and China.

The men’s teams roster includes: Argentina, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, France, Fiji, South Africa, Great Britain, USA, Spain, Uruguay and Kenya.
