Exciting Formula E Race in London Circuit: Electric Cars and Dirty Maneuvers

2023-07-30 07:27:00

Formula E played its penultimate round of its 9th season on the London circuit. On a very tight track, the 100% electric championship once once more stood out with a race that made us think of an indoor karting session, as there were so many dirty maneuvers and bumps.

The test was thus interrupted twice. First of all to allow the marshals to clean the track, the debris was numerous due to the countless skirmishes. For 30 minutes, everyone was cornered. The race was restarted for 4 laps… only to be interrupted even more following a collision between Sébastien Buemi (Envision) and Norman Nato (Nissan) which would lead to a monster traffic jam in which Stoffel Vandoorne (DS-Penske ) as well as all the other competitors!

The FE soon in the Brussels region?

One really wonders when Formula E, which continues to lose interest and credibility, will stop striving to visit tracks that are no longer at all suitable for electric single-seaters which have become far too powerful and which resemble supermarket car parks. A minimum of common sense is required so that the races do not turn to self-scooter every time. When we see the nature of the circuits visited, we say to ourselves that the Woluwe Shopping Center, or even the Cora de Chatelineau, can very well host an ePrix in the near future, which would allow Belgium to finally have its FE race. ..

And the results of the race in all this? Mitch Evans (Jaguar) won another victory, ahead of Jake Dennis (Andretti) who is the new champion. The Briton, who succeeds Vandoorne on the list, notably took advantage of the fratricidal war between the Envisions to crown the crown. Sébastien Buemi is 3rd ahead of Sam Bird (Jaguar) and Sergio Sette Camara (NIO). Vandoorne is ranked 12th.

A final race is scheduled for this followingnoon. The start will be given at 4:04 p.m.
