The Laure -Conan Library in La Malbaie has concocted a range of activities for Charlevois residents, who will not be able to get bored this fall.
The Charlevoix Astronomy Club will present two conferences. The first under the theme The sun will take place on October 11 at 7 p.m. Fans will then be able to learn more about the Bing Bang and the fate of the Universe on Wednesday, November 8 at 7 p.m.
Nature Mornings with GUEPE are back on November 4 at 10 a.m. The activity will take place under the theme The ABCs of survival and the other relating to Aquatic life Saturday, December 2 at 10 a.m.
Sommeliers Louis Brisson and Daniel Galarneau will offer a conference and wine tasting. It will be held on Wednesday, November 1 at 7 p.m.
Young people aged 5 to 13 are invited to travel with Pierre-Luc Côté during his interactive conference A world tour to learn about travel. It will be presented on Saturday, November 18 at 10 a.m.
Furthermore, herbalist therapist Marie-Claude Sagala will meet Charlevois residents on Wednesday, November 29 at 7 p.m. The theme of his presentation is Better digestion with medicinal plants.
On Thursday, October 19 at 7 p.m., pianist Jules Al-Simaani Goulet will offer a classical and neo-classical piano concert. In addition to performing the work of well-known composers, he will also present his own compositions.
Then, on Thursday, November 23 at 7 p.m., Claude Laflamme will present a concert-conference during which he will introduce us to a rather little-known instrument: the harp-guitar. His presentation will be enhanced with musical pieces taken from his two albums.
Literature will also have its place in the programming. Charlevoix author Claudette Frenette will launch her book entitled YOUR FEATURES IN THE STONE. This activity will be held in collaboration with Éditions Charlevoix on Saturday, October 7 at 2:30 p.m.
The story of Laure Conan
Discover the story of Laure Conan thanks to the texts of her cult book “Angéline de Montbrun” read aloud by Nathalie Asselin. She will perform a few songs during this literary event which will take place on Wednesday, December 6 at 7 p.m.
In addition, two documentary films will be presented either Undertaker. Life is Beautiful ! on Tuesday, October 24 at 6:30 p.m. as well as BorealisTuesday, November 14 at 6:30 p.m.
Two creative workshops are offered by Les Ateliers Ci-Art-L’eau: a thematic story reading will precede the artistic DIY which will take place on Saturday, October 21 at 10 a.m. (Halloween) and Saturday, December 16 at 10 a.m. (Christmas).
