INDONESIA is ready to hold a High Level Multi-Stakeholder Partnership Forum or High-Level Forum on Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships (HLF MSP) 2024 on 1-3 September 2024 in Bali. The forum is an important event to strengthen more inclusive, effective and sustainable global development cooperation.
Carrying the theme Strengthening Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships: Towards a Transformative ChangeHLF MSP 2024 becomes the foundation for Summit of the Future which will be held in New York, United States, on September 22-23, 2024.
“The keywords in the HLF MSP forum are transformation, collaboration, cooperation, and sustainability. These are all what motivates Indonesia in facing global challenges and realizing transformation and inclusiveness of development,” said Deputy for Politics, Law, and Security of the Ministry of PPN/Bappenas Bogat Widyatmoko in his statement, Sunday (1/9).
To date, 1,275 participants from 26 countries have expressed their willingness to attend. The number consists of 786 government representatives, 102 from international organizations, 107 from non-governmental organizations, 128 from the private sector, 8 philanthropists, 9 institutions think tank56 academic communities, 9 multilateral banks, and 70 security officers.
“This figure exceeds the initial target set, which was 1,000 participants, indicating great enthusiasm from various parties,” he explained.
HLF MSP 2024 will also feature 102 global speakers from various backgrounds, including government, private sector, academia, philanthropy, NGOs, and international organizations. In addition, this activity is supported by 33 partners who are ready to participate in the exhibition, as well as a well-prepared cyber and physical security system.

“We are very optimistic, the number of participants that has continued to increase in the last few days shows great enthusiasm from various parties,” explained Bogat.
President Joko Widodo is scheduled to welcome all state representatives at the session. Welcoming Dinneras well as opening the main session in Joint Leaders Session Indonesia-Africa (IAF) and HLF MSP 2024 on the second day.
High-Level Plenary Session On the second day, it will be opened by the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas Suharso Monoarfa, followed by keynote speeches from the President-elect of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, as well as the Prime Minister of Timor Leste Xanana Gusmao.
In addition to the main sessions, the forum will also hold 12 parallel events and 17 side events which will run until September 3, 2024 at the Bali International Convention Center, Nusa Dua. Various topics relevant to sustainable development will be discussed in the forum, including strategies to enhance cross-sector and cross-country cooperation in facing global challenges. (E-2)
