Former judoka Max Schirnhofer founded the King Kong Club with the aim of revolutionizing the fitness scene in Salzburg.

During his time as a judoka, Max Schirnhofer won and witnessed many championships. At the age of 25, following a gout attack, he decided to give up his career as a professional athlete. Since at some point it was more and more regarding performance instead of joy, the twelve-time state champion quickly took a new sporting direction.
