In India, a man gave his ex-girlfriend an explosive-laden stereo at their wedding, killing her husband and his brother. Several other people were seriously injured in the explosion of the plant, the walls and the roof of the room collapsed, local media such as the television station NDTV and the “Indian Express” reported on Wednesday, citing the police.
The gift exploded on Monday when the husband tried to plug it in following their wedding last week. He died at the scene of the accident in a village in the state of Chhattisgarh, and his brother died in hospital from his serious injuries.
The ex-boyfriend of the now widowed woman confessed to having installed the explosives in the gift, NDTV reported. The police arrested him and he admitted that he was angry regarding the wedding. He is a mechanic and experienced in handling explosives.
