Evolution of the medico-social offer within the Ardennes territory

As part of the development of the medico-social offer within its territory, the Belair Hospital Center, Public Mental Health Establishment of the Ardennes, in partnership with theARS Grand-Est and the Departmental Council, has increased the reception capacity of its “La Clé des vents” nursing home thus increasing from 8 to 18 places; a project carried out at full speed in the service of patients!

The outcome of this project required the relocation of the initial structure, which was too small and unsuitable, to a unit available within the central site of the Center Hospitalier located in Charleville-Mézières. A tour de force achieved by all the teams because between the submission of the project and the opening of this new structure, which required several drawer operations, less than a year will have passed! However, the establishment of this new 18-place medical reception center is temporary. Indeed, with the help of the State and the department, the project is in progress with the construction of a medico-social village adjoining the Specialized reception center “Le clos de la fontaine” of 60 places which will be modernized. Each resident will be able to benefit from a private space, a large central restaurant adapted to the handicap of the people welcomed will be built and many and varied activities will be offered in
new common or outdoor premises.

After the launch of the first phase of its Real Estate Master Plan linked to the health structures for admission, the Center Hospitalier Bélair is continuing its ambitious reconstruction project with this 2th medico-social phase, the cost of which is close to 6 million euros according to the latest estimates.
