A ‘racy’ fashionista has said she is open to anything when it comes to her work – but there is one thing no one is allowed to touch. Evie Rees has made a name for herself for years as a groundbreaking performer in the adult film industry. She admits she’s someone who’s “done it all,” but there’s one thing she won’t let men do.
“It’s the most ‘me’ part of me”
Her instructions are simple: “You can do whatever you want, but don’t touch my hair!” This may seem unusual for someone who has done so much in the industry, but for Evie this rule is non-negotiable. Evie, who hails from Wales, recently opened up about how her hair is “part of her brand”. It is styled and set in a certain way so that if someone grabs it, it can ruin the whole look. She even believes it can affect the quality of a scene because it is so important to her.
She recalls an incident where she had to stop everything when a co-star grabbed “a handful” of her bangs. It was the only time in her career she’s ever had to say “no” to someone on set, and she recently spoke to the Daily Star about why her gorgeous hairdo is so important to her. Evie said: “My hair is the most ‘me’ part of me, next to how I dress, and after all, it’s my favorite color! It makes me stand out and contributes to how unforgettable my brand is. If you like me see an event, you know it’s me, even from a distance.”
‘Fancy toupee’
“Half of my hair isn’t real, so the way I style it is very specific, and if it gets pulled or tangled on set, it can take forever to fix. A few years ago, my doctor changed a medication I was taking, and it caused most of my hair to fall out within a few weeks. So I got something called a ‘hair system’ (almost a fancy toupee for women) so that my hair looked as close as possible to what it had before. After about a year my natural hair grew back, but the extra thickness of the hair piece means I don’t have to touch up my roots as often.”
“I stay true to my boundaries”
“It actually made me never stop using it!” Although she is very specific about how her hair is treated, Evie admitted that she is not against “rough scenes” during filming. But when it comes to her hair , she makes sure no one messes with it. She wants it to look the way it is for continuity and because it’s a big part of her image As she continues to create content, Evie stays true to her boundaries and adds “You can hit me, do all kinds of things, but when it comes to my hair, you stay away!”
“It’s important for my brand”
When asked if it’s important to her to look a certain way because of her work, Evie added: “It’s less my role in the industry and more my brand that that’s important for. But such striking brand has certainly helped me to solidify my place in the industry.” However, her specific request doesn’t go without criticism as people think she’s exaggerating a bit when it comes to her locks. She said people comment all the time about how protective she is about them.
