Juarez City.- The Municipal Public Security Secretary arrived at the makeshift migrant camp located next to the Municipal Presidency to lead the eviction.
Officials cornered migrants inside their tents to destroy them, in an attempt to clear the sidewalks.
A garbage truck continues to take the destroyed tents, blankets, clothes and other belongings.
“Hector, you tricked me. I was an official and a physical education teacher, have courage. You promised me that you would not take my things” said a migrant while he cried when he saw the officers and cleaners taking his belongings.
Other migrants have stood on the edge of the sidewalk with their hands behind their necks as an act of resistance to the eviction, promoted by dissidents from organized civil society.
