Eviction will continue on Friday

The police ended their second day of operations in the Fechenheim forest on Thursday. More than half of the tree houses and structures were cleared during the day, a statement said. Seven people were temporarily taken into custody and five of them provisionally arrested; among other things, because of trespassing, resistance and missing personal details.

According to our hr reporter on site, a total of 13 people were taken out of the trees by the police on Wednesday and Thursday. At the moment there are still three tree houses, the police assume that there are five to six other people in the trees.

The eviction will continue on Friday. Then, according to the police, Autobahn GmbH will dismantle the crane once more and expand the gravel, provisional central reservation crossing. The provisional protective devices on the central reservation and the edge of the road should be produced on Saturday. Autobahn GmbH assumes that following the remaining work has been carried out, the A66 can be reopened to traffic on Sunday.
