Two-time Olympic silver medalist in figure skating Evgenia Medvedeva said that the Argentinean Lionel Messi is her favorite football player.
The figure skater arrived in Abu Dhabi for the training camp of the Moscow Dynamo.
“In world football, this is Lionel Messi, I rooted for him at the World Cup. At Dynamo, I don’t know everyone personally yet, but yesterday there was a funny interview with Kostya Tyukavin, and today we will talk with Arsen Zakharyan. It will be fun, because Kostya will sit behind the scenes. I think I won’t even need to ask anything, the two of them will say everything themselves, ”- quotes Medvedev Dynamo website.
When asked how football appeared in her life, Medvedeva replied: “Suddenly. In Moscow in the summer there was a Dynamo-Spartak match, and in an interview they asked me: Dynamo or Spartak. And I answered “Dynamo”, because at the First Channel Cup our team “Vremya Pervyy” performed in blue colors. That’s how it all worked out, and now I’m here.”
Medvedeva is a two-time silver medalist of the 2018 Olympics, a two-time world, European and Russian champion. She has not competed in official competitions since the 2019/20 season, but has not yet officially completed her career.
In recent years, she mainly rides in shows and participates in various television projects.
