While many users have been concerned in recent days regarding upcoming restrictions on the use of restaurant vouchers, Olivia Grégoire, the Minister for Commerce, announced on Tuesday, November 14, that “nothing [changerait] for the French people” in 2024.
Since August 2022, the use of meal vouchers has been extended to all food products, even if they are not directly consumable without cooking or preparation (flour, pasta, rice, eggs, fish, meat, etc.). But this exemption was to end on January 1, 2024. This measure will therefore continue to apply “throughout the year 2024” et “nothing will change for the French”declared the minister on M6.
Earlier in the day, the Minister of the Economy, Bruno Le Maire, had already said “favorable” to an extension beyond 2023 of the possibility of using meal vouchers to purchase all food products, saying “to study” the way to achieve this.
