The 8th Classical Music Festival, organized by FCP, will take place from this Thursday to Saturday at the “Dr. Tilo Rajneri” (Rivadavia 2263) and Room 3 FCP (San Luis 2080) in Roca. The event will feature performances by students from the Patagonian University Institute of the Arts (IUPA), the Ensamble del Alto Bronce and Cuerdas del Alto Valle ensembles (formed by members of the Río Negro Philharmonic Orchestra) and the FCP Symphony Orchestra and FCP Artists .

Thursday
14:30 hs.: Concert: Students of the IUPA Flute Chair (Room 3, Free admission).
21 hs.: Concierto: Ensamble del Alto Bronce (Auditorio). El grupo compartirá un programa compuesto por “Back to the future” de Alan Silvestri, “James Bond theme” de Monty Norman, “Once upon a time in the west” de Ennio Morricone, “Love theme” de Ennio Morricone, “Pirates of the Caribbean (medley)” de Hans Zimmer, “Dancer in the dark” de Björk, “Mononoke theme”, “A town with an ocean view”, “One summer’s day” y “Merry-go round of life” de Joe Hisaishi.
Friday:
14:30 hs.: Concert: Students of the IUPA Chamber Music Chair (Room 3, Free admission).
21 hs.: Alto Valle Strings (Auditorium). The program is made up of “Mexican Prints” by José Elizondo; “Double Bass Concerto with String Quartet” and “Impressions of the Puna for string quartet and flute” by Alberto Ginastera.
Saturday:
21 hs.: Concert: FCP Symphony Orchestra and Ángel Frette (Auditorium). Program: “Ginasterium” (Concert for Marimba, String Orchestra and Percussion) by Jorge Moeckert, with the solo performance of Ángel Frette, marimba; and “The Firebird” (Suite for Orchestra) by Igor Stravinsky.
The entries
General admission for each concert at 9 p.m. has a value of $2,500 and has discounts for retirees, teachers, non-teachers and IUPA students, and teachers affiliated with Unter. The event has ten free tickets for IUPA students, which can be picked up in advance at the FCP Secretariat. The shows have a 2 x 1 discount for Club Río Negro members.
Tickets can be purchased at the FCP Secretariat (Rivadavia 2263, Roca), Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. In addition, it is possible to obtain them through WhatsApp at 298 486 6666, from Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.
