Everything ready for a new “Dancing”, in Roca

Dance, in its different genres, takes over the City of Arts, with the third edition of the Festival “Dancing (Where everything moves)”, presented by the Patagonian University Institute of the Arts (IUPA) and the Patagonia Cultural Foundation (FCP), in Roca. The event will take place between next Wednesday and Saturday 21, in the facilities of both institutions: Dance Classrooms (IUPA, Rivadavia 2263) and Dr. Rivadavia Classrooms and Auditorium. Tilo Rajneri (FCP, Rivadavia 2263), Room 3 FCP (St. Louis 2080) and FCP Cultural Space (St. Louis 2085) of this city.

With the aim of generating a visibility space for dance in general in our area, the event will add master classes, talks, workshops, talks and shows, in different disciplines: contemporary, classical, folklore, tango and Spanish. The production will have the visit of renowned national and international dancers, such as Paloma Herrera, Benjamin Parada, Marina Schampier, Gustavo Lesgart, Maricel De Mitri, Rubén Suárez, Héctor Romero, Sol Rourich, Marianela Aliberti, Sebastián Romero and Candelaria Torres, among many others.

“Dancing (Where Everything Moves)” has the artistic direction of Diana Fermanian, director of the Department of Movement Arts of the IUPA, who expresses: “With a lot of patience and effort, we have managed to combine in this festival the imprint of academic training with artistic development. Thus, we will have talks, technical classes and master classes by leading figures and great dance masters, who will also accompany us in the artistic proposals that will be shown on stage”. And she adds: “The most important thing is to value dance, and create a meeting space for all movement disciplines that are taught at IUPA.”

The visit of the renowned dancer Paloma Herrera is the highlight of the Festival: the artist will give a master class on Wednesday 17 at 1 pm and a discussion open to the public, the same day at 2 pm in the FCP Cultural Space.
For his part, the President of FCP, Norberto Rajneri, reflects: “The objective of this Festival is to give visibility to all dances, not only the most popular ones but disciplines of great value that have a great link with Patagonian culture. With more training proposals for dancers and shows for the public, at FCP we continue to encourage different artistic disciplines equally”.

The general admission for each 9 pm show has a value of $1200 and has discounts for retirees, teachers, non-teachers and IUPA students, and teachers affiliated with UNTER. The event has the 2 x 1 discount for Club Río Negro members.
