Canceling your subscription in three clicks has been possible since the beginning of September. It was a promise from the government : from now on, all companies which offer a subscription offer online or in person are obliged to offer us a cancellation in three little clicksmaximum !
The option to unsubscribe can take several forms. This may be a “cancellation” button displayed in large letters on the website concerned, or any other type of device, provided that the latter is clear and readable. To summarize, it must be as easy to subscribe as to cancel a contract.
The measure should save us a little money, when we know that, according to an IPSOS survey, there is a little less than half of French people who pay a subscription… which they do not use. A situation that could happen because, very often, the steps to unsubscribe were an obstacle course.
But with the new back-to-school law, all these troubles are (normally) over.
