Mini update weakens CoD Warzone’s best weapons: Patch Notes © Activision
The update for Call of Duty: Warzone takes on the long-running meta favorites RAM-9 and HRM-9. In MW3, Juggernaut Marines will be nerfed. Here are the patch notes.
Santa Monica, USA – Warzone and Modern Warfare 3 are still busy receiving balance patches for Season 2 even following the big reloaded update. The most important patch notes for March 2024 are nerfs for two absolute meta-MPs and a nerf for the loyal Space Marines of the Warhammer40k Emperor.
Call of Duty makes the best Warzone weapons and Space Maries weaker
Update for meta SMGs: The RAM-9 and HRM-9 both lose a lot of damage at range. The patch notes say somewhat convolutedly that both top weapons in Season 2 require one more shot for a kill, depending on the distance. This limits the powerful melee options that occupied #2 and #6 in the meta before the update (via WZRanked).
- RAM-9
Near-mid damage reduced from 27 to 24
Average damage reduced from 24 to 22 - HRM-9
The maximum damage range has been reduced from 12.95 to 11.30 meters - Despite the nerf, this loadout is still dangerously strong: Warzone: “Strongest” SMG belongs in every loadout – expert shows weapon setup
CoD players also want a hotfix with a huge nerf for this:

Call of Duty: Old weapon is OP with a new attachment – lets you forget regarding hard nerfs
Most important patch notes for Warzone and Modern Wafare 3 in German
Patch Notes for MW3 and Warzone: There are also a few fixes for the interface or bugs hidden in the update, but most people hardly notice them during regular gaming. But here are some patch notes you should know:
- Juggernauts in Juggermosh are now vulnerable to flash grenades, stun grenades, and shock batons. Means: The powerful Space Marines in the Warhammer40k event with free weapons are now weaker
- The Gulag in Warzone is no longer in night vision mode, laser attachments have been removed from Gulag loadouts
- The new sword Soulbringer from Season 2 in CoD has been buffed slightly: There is no longer a delay following changing weapons or throwing grenades
Why do we say “nerf” and “buff”?
When an update makes a weapon or class in a video game weaker, we’re talking regarding one Nerf. This is supposed to come from the Nerf guns, the toy guns, which only shoot with harmless foam material. A Buff On the other hand, something reinforces something that comes from the English word “to buff”, which means something like “to polish up” in German.
Do you think that the easily overlooked patch will change the meta in CoD. Warzone influenced (for the better)? By the way, we would also like your opinion on choosing the worst card from over 20 years of CoD history:
If you’re not enjoying Warzone that much right now, you might also like the action with the new ‘Operation Day Zero’ event. There is a free Ghost Gold Operator for MW3 and the Battle Royale – but there is a catch for some self-proclaimed hardcore players.
