The party was kicked off with a fun video in which Zinedine Zidane passes through some places of the city with the torch to get on the metro and hand it over to three guys. Then, everyone went crazy for Lady Gaga. Surrounded by pink pompoms and feathers, the singer was the first guest to put on a show. Dressed in an elegant black outfit, the American performer wonderfully revived the iconic look of Zizi Jeanmaire, while performing “My thing in Feathers” in a tribute to the world of French cabaret and music hall.

The popstar sat down at the piano and played a few notes at the end of her performance, always amidst feathers and pink and black pompoms. “Bonsoir, bienvenus à Paris,” Lady Gaga began before performing in French to the tune of “Mon truc en plumes.” Hair tied in a chignon, black hot pants, sheer stockings, long gloves and a matching bustier, Lady Germanotta staged a ballet descending from a golden staircase a few steps from Notre-Dame, complete with dancers and flamingo-like feathers, a nod to those of Yves Saint Laurent made famous by Zizi, who passed away in 2020.
