Every morning the Moon trembles because of man

The researchers were thus able to confirm that the Moon trembles every day, not due to seismic activity as we know on Earth, but due to significant variations in temperature of the lunar body, with maximums which can rise up to ‘at 120 degrees during the day and minimums reaching -248 degrees at night, recalls The Huffington Post.

These temperature changes cause the Moon’s surface to expand and contract, causing shaking.

But the researchers also observed other tremors of the Moon, different from the daily ones linked to temperature. They were able to trace its origin to… man.

The material left behind by members of the American Apollo missions caused slight tremors on the Moon.

More precisely, the lunar lander of the Apollo 17 mission, left behind by the members of the expedition, which also expands and emits vibrations every morning when the temperature warms up.
