Here, everything is told from the perspective of the people, putting emphasis on several key characters, a doctor who is desperate to help, a group of nurses who are trapped in the ruins of their hospital along with several newborn babies who need them to survive. (this is inspired by the true story of the miracle babies, who managed to survive several days trapped in the rubble), an aspiring journalist whose perspective changes radically after seeing people’s pain, desperation and need, a mother who She struggles to reach her children, and many other ordinary people, who show us what it was like to experience the earthquake and what the following hours were like.
Osvaldo Benavides is a hospital doctor in which the nurses and babies get trapped, while Maya Zapata is a woman who decides to take a camera and make a record of what was happening, so that no one could forget it.
“My character starts in a seemingly superficial place. “She is a novice journalist who has just left Guadalajara, fleeing from a life that does not seem enough to her, and she is discovering her place within this story and finding the true values of her mission,” he says. Zapata about his character. “She is the chronicler of this story, but she is a chronicler who little by little is realizing how important it is to communicate the truth, without having an agenda behind it, the importance of communicating from freedom.”

“She thinks she has to show great ambition to get what she wants, but then she realizes that the most important thing is that her camera is that megaphone for the voices of people who need to be heard. That is a reminder of the role that the media plays,” says Zapata.
It is a story that reminds us that good actions weigh a lot, but that we should not close our eyes or remain silent when we witness terrible things and injustices.

“In moments of chaos and survival, like this, political beliefs do not come into play, gender, ideologies, where we come from or who we are do not seem to matter, what matters is the community, what matters is the situation of life and death, and fighting for life, especially for the lives of those who are defenseless and need other hands to survive, which is what we should always do. These small reminders, when we see them through these stories, reconnect us with that need to have tolerance, empathy, to remember that beyond the things we think, the most important thing is to stay united,” says the actress.
