Everton binds Pickford to a new contract until 2027

Everton said in a statement on its official website: “Jordan Pickford has signed a new four-and-a-half-year contract with Everton, committing his future to the club until the end of June 2027.”

During his time at Everton, Pickford developed into one of the best goalkeepers in the world, establishing himself as the Three Lions’ first choice goalkeeper and becoming a favorite for club and country with his impressive performances.

Pickford, who won 50 caps for England – all during his time at Everton, led his country to a World Cup semi-final and a European Championship final.

Pickford said following signing the contract: “It is great to sign this new contract at such a special club for me. The support I have received from everyone at the club since I joined at the age of 22 has been very important to me and my family. .

He added: “Everton is a huge club, the past few seasons have not been what we wanted, but we now have a coach who I believe will point us in the right direction and lead us to the top of the table. I joined in and I want to be cool with them.”

He continued: “I just want to continue working hard and performing with Everton. We know we are in a difficult situation at the moment in the league but I am keen to help the team improve this season and then aim for success in the future, which will include playing in our new stadium.”

He continued, “This contract will take me over 10 years at Everton and I want to build a legacy here to put myself out there with the likes of Neville Southall to be one of the best goalkeepers to ever play for Everton.”
