Everglow’s ‘big festival controversy’ Wang Yi-ren, suspending domestic activities in China

Chinese member of the group Everglow, Wang Yi-ren, who was embroiled in controversy for refusing to bow down, officially announced the suspension of activities in Korea.

On the 9th, Yuehua Entertainment, the agency, announced through the official fan cafe that Wang Yi-ren will go to China for academic reasons from mid-January to the end of February, and therefore plan to promote as a five-member group for the time being.

Yuehua said, “Wang Yi-ren will be taking a break to meet his family, whom he has not seen for a while due to Corona 19,” and said, “(Everglow) will proceed with the schedule without any setbacks,” and asked for unwavering support.

Earlier, at a fan meeting held on the 2nd, Wang Yi-ren was embroiled in a controversy when all the members greeted fans with a big bow on New Year’s Day, and did not say a big bow, saying that it is a Chinese tradition.
