Arms deliveries

Vladimir Putin spoke with journalist Pavel Zarubin for the Moscow. Kremlin. Putin.” The president paid special attention to arms supplies to Ukraine. According to Putin:

  • the supply of American MLRS to Ukraine does not change anything: the Armed Forces of Ukraine already have similar systems of Russian and Soviet production, such as Grad, Smerch and Uragan;
  • the additional supplies themselves are needed only to “prolong the armed conflict as far as possible”;
  • if longer-range missiles are delivered to Ukraine, then Russia will draw “relevant conclusions” and begin to strike at those objects that it has not yet touched.

The intention to supply Ukraine with heavy weapons, including Leopard tanks and anti-aircraft missiles, was announced by the Spanish government. This was written by the newspaper El Pais.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian ambassador called the speed of arms deliveries from Germany a “shame”. He believes that they are too slow, and the fact that Berlin has not yet sent tanks to Kyiv, in his opinion, will “go down in history” altogether.

Foreign policy

A number of statements regarding Ukraine were made by Turkish President Erdogan. He is sure that:

  • the system created by the West to ensure its own security is being destroyed;
  • Western countries began to agree with Turkey’s idea of the need to reform the UN Security Council.

– While our country has been successfully coping with illegal migration from Syria for 11 years, we are seeing panic in Europe due to the Russian-Ukrainian crisis. We pray that the world will emerge from the critical period it is experiencing as soon as possible,” Erdogan said.

Problems arose with Sergey Lavrov and his earlier planned visit to Serbia. It came under threat as Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Montenegro closed their airspace to the Russian minister’s plane. The Serbian newspaper Vecherne Novosti writes regarding this.

Not everything is calm in the world of sports. The Russian Football Union sent a protest to FIFA: the reason for it was the image of Crimea on the form of the Ukrainian team.
