August is coming to an end and, with it, the mood surrounding the long-awaited Apple special event begin to increase — this is because new device launches are expected, including iPhones.
According to reporter Mark Gurman (and Bloomberg), Apple is expected to hold its traditional event on the day September 10th (a Tuesday), when new ones may also be announced Apple Watches e AirPodsaccording to him.
If that is indeed the date, it is likely that sales of the new devices will begin on the day September 20th — as usual, a Friday.
iPhones, Watches e AirPods
As we have seen, the “iPhones 16 Pro/16 Pro Max” will have larger screens and new camera features, including a dedicated photo button (previously called the capture button). They will be compatible with the features of Apple Intelligence but overall, they won’t be much different from current models, according to Gurman.
Meanwhile, new wearable devices are expected to undergo major changes. The “Apple Watch Series 10” (or “Apple Watch X”who knows) will be thinner and will include a larger display.
Regarding the AirPodsApple is revamping its lineup. For the first time, according to speculation, the company will offer noise cancellation in the mid-range model, among other changes.
What about Macs?
In addition to focusing on the devices most likely to be announced at the upcoming special event, Gurman said Apple is also planning to begin rolling out the M4 processors in Macs later this year — however, company computer updates usually occur later (in October/November, perhaps).
In any case, the company would have intensified testing four new Mac models to ensure compatibility with third-party applications — a crucial step before the new machines are released. The Macs that have appeared have the identifiers “16,1”, “16,2”, “16,3” e “16,10”.
According to the journalist, they represent models with basic versions of the M4 chip. Three of the Macs have 10-core CPUs (with the same specs as the M4 chip in the iPad Pro), while one entry-level version includes 8 cores. The versions with 10-core CPUs also have 2 10-core GPUs — while the 8-core has an 8-core GPU as well. They all have 16GB or 32GB of unified memory.
Let Apple’s final “surprises” of this year begin!
