“The idea of a dress code was born as a kind of beautiful summer solution, because the MIFF was then held in June, and our award, respectively, too,” explains Maria Lemesheva, editor-in-chief of KinoReporter. “And then, with the transfer of the festival to spring, the white color acquired a new, very important meaning, since it symbolizes the beginning of something new, bright, like this time of the year, when everything is just being born.
