Eve Air Mobility and DHL Supply Chain partner to design the supply chain to support eVTOLs

Eve Air Mobility (“Eve”) (NYSE: EVEX; EVEXW) and DHL Supply Chain, a global leader in warehousing and distribution, today announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to conduct a first study of key demands and characteristics of the supply chain of Eve’s electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) operation. The main objective of the partnership is to study ways of supplying spare parts and inputs for operators and workshops, with a focus on batteries and their transport, storage and disposal particularities. Other aspects involved are the types of modes that will be used for transport, frequency and delivery plan, necessary logistical partners, potential locations for advanced inventories, physical and technological infrastructure requirements and contingency plans.

Companies will work on identifying the main demands and characteristics of this nascent supply chain.

“We are transforming urban air mobility, and this also poses a challenge in the logistics area. DHL’s experience in this area in the aeronautical market and in dozens of other industries, added to the innovation mindset of both companies, will be vital to guarantee the safe and agile operation of the eVTOLs,” commented Luiz Mauad, vice president of Services and Operations de Fletas da Eve. “In addition to high-performance logistics, our premise is to reduce the environmental impact of the supply chain in line with our proposal to offer more sustainable products and services.”

“We are excited regarding this opportunity to participate in building the future of mobility with Eve Air Mobility. Initiatives like this are part of our great ESG mission, and we are contributing all our knowledge and experience in favor of making this another great successful project developed by the Brazilian airline industry, with benefits for major cities around the world”, said the Vice President of the Automotive, Technology and Consumption sectors at DHL Supply Chain, Maurício Almeida.

The main objective of Eve Air Mobility’s partnership with DHL is to guarantee the supply of spare parts, batteries, inputs, reverse logistics and the correct disposal of materials.

The logistical study to be carried out by the companies covers the continuous distribution of parts and pieces for repairs and maintenance. Another fundamental point is battery logistics, a key factor in this business model, in which DHL will apply its experience in handling batteries from other industries. Finally, the supply of general supplies for the vertiports will also be studied by the companies.

With the industry’s largest Urban Air Mobility (UAM) backlog of up to 2,850 aircraft, Eve continues with important milestones in the development of its eVTOL and its ecosystem-agnostic solutions for this market, which include a unique Air Traffic Management software Urbano (Urban ATM), a comprehensive network of operations services and solutions. The first deliveries and entry into service are planned for 2026.
