The army’s mission is to evacuate all residents of Israeli areas around the Gaza Strip within 24 hours, its spokesperson said on Sunday, reporting “ongoing fighting to free hostages” between forces Israeli and Palestinian activists infiltrated.

“Our mission for the next 24 hours is to evacuate all residents from around Gaza,” said General Daniel Hagari, speaking at a press conference.
