EVA: Revolutionizing Virtual Reality Laser Gaming

Immerse Yourself in the Future of Gaming with EVA

This‍ immersive experience transports‌ participants into a ‍thrilling world, where action unfolds not in a distant galaxy, but within the realm of virtual reality (VR). In ⁢Beauchamp,‍ France, five young players don VR headsets, engaging in a ⁢laser game within a spacious 1,000 square meter hangar known as the eSports ⁢Virtual⁢ Arena (EVA).

“This is a laser ⁣game ⁢that went bankrupt because of the coronavirus pandemic,” explains Bastien Mignon, ⁢director of the EVA. The company offers first-person shooter (FPS) games in VR, drawing interest from ⁢a diverse clientele. Its creators, who ‌also manage a trampoline park ‍and children’s leisure area nearby, were inspired to franchise EVA⁤ in 2021, marking the debut of this innovative gaming concept.

Since then, EVA has⁤ rapidly expanded, with approximately 30 locations opening across France and ‍ambitions to reach 25 new ones by the end of the year. “Our goal is to have ⁢a network of 100 theatres across France by the end of 2025,” shares Jean Mariotte, co-founder and president of EVA. With a projected turnover of 8.5 million euros for 2023 (excluding franchises), the company ‍is set on a path of growth and is investing in e-sports while developing new games aimed at a broader audience.

Monthly ‍”Battle Pass”

EVA de Beauchamp operates seven days a week,⁤ catering to a varied audience. “On Wednesdays and weekends, it’s a great⁢ place for the whole family to hang out, but friends also come over to socialize,” notes‌ Mignon. The player demographic is youthful, with an average‌ age of around 30. Special occasions, like birthdays, also bring players in, as shared by Tom, an 18-year-old ‌gamer who enjoys Call of Duty. He wiped the sweat from his ⁤forehead after a rigorous session in⁣ the VR headset.
