Eurovision video postcards will feature scenes from Ukraine / Day

The video, which gives commentators the opportunity to introduce viewers to the country and its representative, will this year feature places from the Member State, Great Britain and Ukraine under one theme, such as parks, ports or beaches.

The representatives of Ukraine won the Eurovision final in 2022 Kalush Orchestra with a song Stephanie, however, the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) decided to entrust the organization of the 2023 competition on behalf of Ukraine to Great Britain.

Video postcards are created using drones and 360-degree video cameras. 37 postcards will show 111 places. Themes will vary, such as parks, castles, street art, ports, colorful buildings, beaches, rivers and lakes.

The music for the postcards was composed by the Ukrainian composer Dmytro Shurov.

The Eurovision semi-finals will take place on May 9 and 11, and the final on May 13.

This will be the ninth time that Great Britain has hosted the final of the competition. The last time was in 1998 in Birmingham.

The band will represent Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest Sudden Lights with a song In Aya.
