The ESC 2022 online and teletwitter in ORF TELETEXT
Vienna (OTS) – LUM!X showed Pia Maria his former hometown: After the first day of rehearsals, a city trip through Turin was on the program for Austria’s song contest duo. LUM!X, who lived briefly in the city in north-west Italy, took Pia Maria and the Austrian delegation to Turin’s most beautiful squares and historic city centre. On his tour he showed, among other things, the Basilica di Superga, with one of the most beautiful views over the city, the stone arch bridge Ponte Vittorio Emanuele I, the Mole Antonelliana, a symbol of the city, and the Piazza Castello with the two royal palaces Palazzo Madama and Palazzo real. LUM!X and Pia Maria then let the followingnoon end with “caffè e dolci” in the city center of Turin.
LUM!X: “Yesterday followingnoon we were out and regarding in Turin, which is my former home. And it was really great to visit and show the most beautiful places in Turin once more. That gave me a lot of throwback vibes and brought back good memories.” Pia Maria also enjoyed the followingnoon: “The city trip was really cool, we saw a lot of beautiful places. And one of the highlights for me was the absolutely beautiful view of the entire city from the Basilica di Superga.” Photos from LUM!X and Pia Maria’s tour of Turin are available at presse.ORF.at.

Teletwitter in ORF TELETEXT during the live shows
ORF TELETEXT is once once more offering song contest fans a very special service with “Teletwitter”, because this year too there will be tweeting during the semi-final shows and the final in ORF TELETEXT. The Teletext editors select particularly interesting or original tweets from the comments posted on Twitter (hashtag #ESCORF). On page 780 of ORF TELETEXT, these can then be displayed at the bottom edge of the TV screen – similar to subtitles – so that viewers can follow the TV show and read fan comments at the same time. For technical reasons, tweets with images or links are excluded. Only posts with a maximum of 140 keystrokes can be considered for publication. On ORF TELETEXT page 781 there are detailed explanations, also for retrieval on set-top boxes, where subtitles and thus also the teletwitter only have to be selected in the subtitles menu of the box. Fans can also find ongoing reporting on this year’s ESC in the ORF TELETEXT in the magazine “Kultur und Show” (pages 107, 110 and from 190).
