Austria’s ESC duo on a city tour through the city of music and artists
Vienna (OTS) – After the first day of rehearsals, a city trip through the song contest host city of Liverpool was on the program for Austria’s ESC duo TEYA & SALENA. They explored the hometown of the Beatles and their first stop was straight to the Cavern Club on Mathew Street, the legendary club where the Beatles first performed. Continue to the Bluecoat Building, Liverpool’s contemporary arts centre, and Bold Street, one of Liverpool’s liveliest streets, known for its cafes and St Luke’s Church at the top. Also on TEYA & SALENA’s route were Liverpool Cathedral, Rodney Street, the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts and last but not least the Chinese Arch.
TEYA is enthusiastic: “Liverpool is super cool. We have explored some beautiful corners, tasted good food, met great people and we have a lot of fun here.” For SALENA, it is above all the music that connects her with the city: “Music is the focus in Liverpool. Live music can be heard around every corner and people suddenly start singing, playing the piano and dancing together on the street. That’s why I feel very comfortable and at home here.” Now it’s time for TEYA & SALENA to catch their breath and recharge their batteries before they complete their second rehearsal in the Liverpool Arena on Friday, May 5th.
The further schedule for TEYA & SALENA until the second semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest:
