A European Summit will be held in Brussels on Thursday October 26 and Friday October 27, at the European Council, rue de la loi. Several security measures have been planned in the area, and traffic disruptions are expected.
As at each European Summit, arrangements have been made by the public authorities. A security perimeter will be set up by the police around the Schuman roundregarding, from Thursday at 12:00 p.m. Traffic in this area will therefore be prohibited, except for emergency vehicles and those with an exemption, Brussels Mobility indicated.
To enter the secure zone (Schuman roundregarding, first section of rue de la Loi starting from the roundregarding, and rue Froissart), pedestrians must have an access badge and show their card. identity.
Concerning the neighboring streets (rue Breydel, rue Archimède, avenue de la Joyeuse Ouverte and avenue d’Auderghem), they will be reserved for local traffic and parking will be prohibited there. The Reyers-center tunnel will also be closed to traffic from 11:00 a.m. on October 26.
