European stocks
European shares recorded significant gains at the close of trading today, as follows:
- The British FTSE 100 index is the least rising among European stocks, with only regarding 1.7% at the close.
- The European Stoxx 600 index is also rising by 1.8% at the close of trading.
- The French CAC index is up 2.0%.
- The Italian MIB index posted a gain of 2.1% at the close.
- The Spanish IBEX index recorded a gain of 2.1% also at the end of trading.
- The German DAX index is the most bullish among European stocks at the end of trading, rising by 2.4% at the end.
It should be noted that European shares rose at the start of trading today, Monday, coinciding with the rise of the banking sector shares for the third consecutive session due to betting that the European Central Bank will increase interest rates significantly.
