The old Paris Stock Exchange

The main European stock markets are moving higher on Monday at the start of the session, encouraged by the progression of Wall Street futures and the decline in bond yields in Europe.

In Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.27% to 6,814.04 points around 07:45 GMT. In London, the FTSE 100 gained 0.94% and in Frankfurt, the Dax advanced 0.35%.

The EuroStoxx 50 index is up 0.3%, the FTSEurofirst 300 is up 0.8% and the Stoxx 600 is up 0.5%.

The progression of Wall Street futures allows us to start on a positive note a busy week of central bank meetings, economic indicators and company results.

Another favorable factor is the decline in European bond yields following data on inflation in Spain and Germany showing stagnation or even a slowdown in price increases.

In terms of values, ArcelorMittal fell 4.9% following confirming discussions with a view to the nationalization of its subsidiary in Kazakhstan following a fire in a coal mine operated by ArcelorMittal Temirtau which left 45 dead.
