European stock markets opened without a clear trend on Friday, proving hesitant following a new wave of corporate results and indicators confirming a slowdown in US economic activity.

The Paris Stock Exchange rose by 0.17% to 7,551.50 points at 9 a.m. (0700 GMT). The places of Frankfurt (-0.08%) and Milan (-0.01%) opened close to equilibrium and London lost 0.14% in the first exchanges.
