The Ariane 5 launch vehicle with two one meteorological and two telecommunications satellites was launched from the Kourou cosmodrome (France). The devices are designed to cover the territory of North America, they will detect dangerous weather phenomena.
The Galaxy 35, Galaxy 36 and MTG-I1 satellites were launched into orbit. Latest in the operator’s press release Arianespacecalled “the most sophisticated and innovative geostationary meteorological satellite system ever built”.
The apparatus of the European Organization for Satellite Meteorology (EUMETSAT), specifies Arianspace, will be able to provide specialists with approximately 50 times more data than previous generation devices. The rocket was launched at 23:30 Moscow time, the launch is broadcast on the Arianespace website.
Ariane 5 is produced by the European Space Agency and is its main launch vehicle. Since the beginning of the year, Arianespace has carried out four Ariane 5 launches.
